Schala had not paid attention to the name of the tavern that she'd entered, but that was just as well. The establishment was medium-sized, neither small enough to elicit claustrophobia from the humans, nor large enough to be called grand in any sense of the word. It smelled of old smoke, stale spirits that had been spilt upon the dingy floor, and last night's dinner.
Just the kind of nondescript place where she could learn of what was going on without drawing too much attention to herself. She'd fed not too long ago, and therefore the people present did not tempt her. It wasn't like she fed off of drunken oafs, anyhow. She prefered her victims to be ready and willing for death's cold touch.
Without a word, the black-clad vampiress made her way to a table at the back of the tavern. It was neither isolated from the rest of the tables, nor directly in the middle of the chaos. It was a good place to just sit back and observe, to listen to what was going on.
Besides, if anyone wanted her attention, they'd approach her. It would not be the other way around.
